Insert moulding: a complex trade with a never ending number of facets

With the customer’s high demand for the product, in recent trends the emergence of insert moulding is quite high. Almost all industries make use of molds. The industries that make use of it are oil & gas, construction, agriculture, electrical, medical, automotive, food, consumer products and lots more.

-Oil and gas industries require supplies that are tough and resistant to corrosion.

-molding has also become a strong emergent in the medical application. Appliances like heart pump parts, orthopedic devices, catheters, heartbeat monitors, and ECG and oxygen parts are manufactured using molding process. Capsules are also done using this process.

In simple terms there are diverse of fields where molding has made its significance impact.

There are a number of molding processes such as; injection molding, blow molding, compression molding, and film insert molding, gas assist molding, rotational molding, thermoforming and structural foam molding etc.

Among all insert moulding process is a complex trade with an almost endless number of facets. But thankfully with the advent of latest technologies and machines most of the tedious tasks are being performed by them. The complicated set-ups of yesteryears are now done routinely in fraction of time by these highly sophisticated machine tools.

“Ming-Li” is one of such renowned companies of Taiwan who has equipped its factory with all the latest technologies and insert moulding solutions. Every step is done with great ease and carefulness. We know that a single mistake can damage the whole system and products hence our expertise team does all the tasks carefully and patiently. We believe in achieving the best, and hence work hard to win our objective. With cost cutting pricing and good quality products Ming-Li has always served its customers and will be continuing to do so in future as well.

Ming-Li has attained its significant impact in the field of molding:

Plastic has emerged a lot in the molding industry used to carry numerous set of activities. There are many industries which make use of molding techniques. It is also quite surprising to see so many methods being developed over the years to produce the products that we use on a daily basis. We take it for grant and never give it a thought as to how these things are actually made.

There are a number of molding processes among which the more common types are standard mold injection, insert molding plastic extrusion, blow molding, multi-color or material molding, stack molding and rotary molding.

Insert molding, by definition is an exceptional industrialized system used to formulate parts from plastic materials. To achieve this, the molten plastic is inserted into a mold at high pressure and injected into the inverse design of the desired shape producing the shape in the way it needs to be designed. Doing this one can obtain a clean and finished end product. This sounds simple in its basic form, but the process involved with making all this happen is actually quite complicated.

In insert molding process dissimilar molded pieces are contrived from thermoplastics or thermosetting plastics. It has made its place in a variety of industries like aerospace, automotive, consumer products, toys, medical, plumbing, packaging and construction as well.

Now there are diverse choices of insert molding solutions and molding machines to go with. The molding industry is completely globalized with the commencing of World Wide Web (www). So, it has become easy for any product to come along the way to any part of the world and be compatible with the entire molding process.

In this globalized industry it is a very tough job to make a stand but our company has made it all within a few years. “Ming-Li” has attained great eminence and made significant impact in the field of molding.

Plastic mold occupies a very vital position in the plastic molding industry:

Generally there are two main types of plastic moulds such as thermo-sets and thermoplastics. Due to the types of polymers forming such type of plastics they are quite different from each other. The thermoplastics melt at high temperature while thermo-sets harden up at high temperature. There are distinguished processes that are used for shaping or making plastic mold, using the combination of both the plastics or else either of them. We usually hear those processes; extrusion, injection molding and blowing molding (combination of both the plastics) but don’t have proper knowledge about what exactly happens in the whole process.

Here we go with a detailed discussion about what exactly a reliable plastic mould supplier does:

Films, sheets and pipes are done using extrusion. In “extrusion molding” raw materials like powder, pellets and beads are used. Here plastic is put into extruder (revolving chamber) in order to melt and form into desired shapes. Then the finished product is dropped on to a conveyer belt to cool with water. Finally finishing touches are given to it.

In order to make bottle caps, toys, butter containers etc another famous process is used that is commonly known as “injection molding”. Here in this process raw plastic is fed into the melting chamber through a hopper. Then the melted plastic is put into cold, old with high pressure.

Last but not the least; blow molding is another process where blowing method is used after injection molding. Compressed air is blown through the tube so as to force the plastic to make a hallow shape inside. This method removes the need to attach different injection-molded parts by the manufacturers.
With relevant features and technologies “Ming-Li” has come forward to manufacture high quality industrial molds and has proven itself to be the number one plastic mold supplier of Taiwan in a very short time span.
